Manchester United legend Eric Cantona admits he has very big plans for MLS hopefuls New York Cosmos.
The reformed club are pushing to win a license to rejoin North America's top domestic league and with Cantona as their director of soccer, things are certainly looking good.
The eccentric Frenchman told ESPN.com that there are big plans in store for the franchise who will look to do battle with established rivals New York Red Bulls.
"I think the Red Bulls will have much more things to learn from us than we from them," Cantona said.
"We'll do it in our own way. I have my own ideas, but they're a bit secret.
"The [goal] will be for the United States to win the World Cup with Cosmos players," he added. "I think in 20 years' time. Maybe before."
And Cantona, as always, is confident that his presence will be of benefit to the Cosmos. When interviewer Leander Schaerlaeckens told him: "Many good men have failed here", he replied with: "Until I arrived."
