Man Utd great Beckham delighted by LA Galaxy's ability to fight back

Former Manchester United captain David Beckham was happy with how his LA Galaxy teammates fought back on Saturday night.

The Los Angeles club fell behind at The Home Depot Center when ex-Arsenal star Thierry Henry scored for the New York Red Bulls in just the fourth minute of the MLS' Match of the Week.

But the Galaxy responded five minutes before the break through skipper Landon Donovan to take a deserved share of the points in what was an exhilarating contest.

Beckham said that the fight the side showed was something to be proud of whilst describing the fixture as a 'good advertisement for the game'.

"Their goal kind of knocked us off-balance for a while," Beckham said. "But we showed character to get back in the game.

"It was a good game of soccer. Both teams passed the ball around well, both teams penetrated.

"The last 10 minutes obviously they were going for the draw but I think overall it was a very good advertisement for the game in this country and it's nice to play in games like that."
