Ander Herrera feels Manchester United have much to improve after their 4-0 rout of QPR.
The Spanish midfielder was on target in the 4-0 thrashing of QPR earlier this afternoon as Louis van Gaal secured his first win as the club's new boss.
"We are happy. It is our first game winning," he said. "I think we have been comfortable on the pitch.
"We kept the ball, we had a lot of chances and we let them make few chances. We are happy with this step but of course we have to improve. If we want to win trophies we have to improve still.
"The new players are top players, Di Maria, Falcao, Rojo, Blind, Shaw. We are looking forward to this season.
"This is our first step but it was important to win the game, we have a long week of work and if we win we have confidence."
