Manchester United captain Wayne Rooney has revealed his next major target with the club.

The Red Devils great became the club's all-time leading scorer when he fired home his 250th goal in Saturday's 1-1 draw with Stoke City.

But with a semi-final second leg in the EFL Cup against Hull City to come on Thursday night, Rooney is now looking ahead to clinching some silverware with his beloved United.

"I think the next thing is the League Cup, we want to win it," he said on MUTV.

"The final's in February and we've got a game on Thursday night to try and get there.

"Every trophy is great to win in football and it's obviously the next one we can win so that's the focus, certainly on Thursday.

"We're still in every competition we've entered this season. The Premier League will obviously be tough but in the competitions we're in we feel we've got a good enough squad to push for those titles."
