Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal believes that his side is improving every week despite the recent loss at the hands of Chelsea.
United's fine six-game winning run in the Premier League was brought to a halt with a 1-0 defeat at Stamford Bridge on Saturday but van Gaal was left to look at the positives.
Notwithstanding the defeat, United put in a very good performance against the league leaders and their manager has stated that although the final result was disappointing, he was encouraged by the fact that the Red Devils are gradually improving every week.
The 65-year old said: "Normally, we are more effective. Normally we are not so creative and because of that I think we played a fantastic match but we lose, and now I have very disappointed players and I am very disappointed.
"But I see that we are improving every week and when you can play in Chelsea like this, as the dominant team, then I am very happy with that, but I am very disappointed and that's the ambivalence in my feelings."
