Manchester United have received a boost in their pursuit of Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic.
Tuttosport says Juventus were frontrunners to sign the Serbian midfielder - but not any more. Lazio proposed a sum of £89m plus midfielder Rodrigo Bentancur, but Juve wanted no part of such a deal.
The Bianconeri's bigwigs have now withdrawn from all negotiations for the 23-year-old.
The upshot of their decision is that Manchester United have effectively been given the green light to make their move.
Indeed, the Biancocelesti would rather sell Milinkovic-Savic to the Red Devils than a direct Serie A rival.
