Man Utd to fund Rodriguez deal with Nani sale

Manchester United are ready to cash in on Nani in January. The Daily Star says his contract deadlock has left United with no choice but to offload Nani to avoid the risk of losing him for nothing.

Nani's £60,000-a-week deal runs out in June 2014 and United will want to sell him before he enters the final 12 months of his contract.

The news will alert a host of clubs including Porto, Benfica, Juventus and Zenit St Petersburg.

It is understood United will consider offers of around £20m and use the funds to replace him, with Porto winger James Rodriguez being Fergie's No.1 target.
