Luke Shaw is ready to play through the pain barrier to prove himself to Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho.
The Sun says he has suffered a groin tear – but wants to play through the pain.
Scans yesterday revealed Manchester United's England left-back, 21, tore the muscle during the 3-1 defeat at Watford when he was singled out for criticism from Mourinho.
The injury will require constant treatment but Shaw wants to continue playing, according to sources at United's Carrington HQ.
Shaw believes the problem can be treated without a spell on the sidelines and is confident of proving his fitness to Mourinho.
He is hoping to be in contention for Saturday's Premier League clash against Leicester.
