Manchester United fullback Patrice Evra hailed their FA Cup victory at Manchester City on Sunday.
Evra believes their character, belief and history will see them through to a 20th crown.
Evra, delighted to have avenged the club's 6-1 October league mauling, said: "Manchester United never die. A lot of people forget that. They don't want to respect the story.
"When you have the story behind this club, you know that when there is a difficult moment you will answer back. Everyone in this team has a big character and big personality."
Evra revealed Ferguson had inspired the players before the game by reminding them to show the watching world the real United.
The Frenchman added: "The manager told us it was a big game and we had to show what United are all about."
