Manchester United fullback Patrice Evra's has explained the French squad's support of Chelsea striker Nicolas Anelka.
Evra reckons the French squad's backing of Nicolas Anelka - sent home after an insult-filled rant at coach Raymond Domenech - was a 'clumsy gesture of love'.
Skipper Evra said: "You can make clumsy gestures out of love in such conditions."
