Manchester United fullback Patrice Evra heaped praise on teammate Wayne Rooney after victory over Portsmouth.

Rooney was again on the scoresheet in the 5-0 romp.

"Wayne is just what the team needs," Evra told MUTV. "He's a world class player and deserves everything he is getting. He's more mature now and so dangerous in the box. Whenever we need to score we can rely on him, and I am very happy with how he is doing."
