Manchester United fullback Alexander Buttner is happy with his backup role.

Buttner is behind Patrice Evra in the pecking order and isn't complaining.

"I know Patrice is here and he plays so many games. I know that and I know I am for the future. It is okay. If I play 12 or 13 games this season then I'll be happy," he told manutd.com.

On his Holland hopes, Buttner added: "Yes, I hope it's close. I have to be patient. When I play here, I can play there. I have patience when I say that I'm for the future. Of course they are following me now and hopefully that will be okay."
