Park could become the first South Korean to win the Champions League this season and says he owes a lot to his former PSV Eindhoven coach Hiddink.
He said: "He's my mentor. Before I met him, I had never anything like the support and help I received from Hiddink. He changed my life once and for all, I owe everything that I am now to him."
Park also revealed United's popularity is now steadily growing in South Korea.
"Yes, the country is very passionate about United, but also there was a time that Real Sociedad, which had South Koreans playing for them, was popular as was PSV."
