Manchester United fans plan a glowing tribute to legend George Best during their Champions League tie with PSV Eindhoven.
The Mirror says on the anniversary of the passing of arguably football's greatest talent and the biggest star ever to emerge from Northern Ireland, United fans will light up their phones in the seventh minute of the side's Champions League game with PSV, in tribute to the legendary forward who lit up the lives of those fortunate enough to have watched him play.
In contrast, his devoted sister and confidante, Barbara McNarry told Belfast Live: “We are just planning a quiet day.
“We will go to the family grave to pay our respects to George and we are hoping some of his friends will be over from Manchester.
“George said he wanted to be remembered for his football and he is.
“I said on the day of his funeral that George hadn't gone, he had just stepped off the pitch, and that's as true as ever."
