Man Utd fans confront Glazers

Manchester United owners, the Glazer family, were confronted by angry fans this week.

The Daily Mail says joint chairman Joel Glazer and his brother Bryan, a director, were dining in Manchester's Restaurant Bar and Grill on Thursday when a group of supporters outside began voicing disapproval of their father Malcolm's £790million purchase of the club.

Concerned for the brothers' safety, security guards escorted them into a waiting car but as it stopped at nearby traffic lights the fans squirted tomato ketchup over the car and banged on the roof, shouting 'Go back to America' and 'Leave our club alone'.

The club yesterday refused to comment on the attack.
