Rivals Manchester United and Liverpool are battling it out against each other in the race to sign Porto midfielder Danilo Pereira, according to reports from A Bola.

Danilo Pereira is regarded as one of the finest midfielders in the Portuguese Primeira Liga and the 25-year-old is said to have attracted the interest from a host of clubs in recent times.

Now in reports emerging out of Portugal, revelations have been made that scouts from both United and Liverpool were present during Porto's 7-0 triumph over Nacional on the weekend to cast a closer look at Danilo and the fierce Premier League rivals are currently locked in a battle to sign the Portuguese international this summer.
