Manchester United secretary John Alexander was delighted with the teams his club will face in the Champions League group stage this season.
New Red Devils boss David Moyes has been handed a fairly agreeable group for his first foray in Europe's premier club competition with United and Alexander suggested the Old Trafford were pleased with drawing Bayer Leverkusen, Shakhtar Donetsk and Real Sociedad.
"It's not a bad draw for your first group stage with Manchester United," Alexander told Sky Sports. "It is very interesting with the German and Spanish sides in there.
"I guess they would be quite tough opposition from pots three and four, and Shakhtar Donetsk is an interesting trip for anybody at any time of the year.
"It's a very exciting group to be in."
