Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has pulled the pin on a deal for Partizan Belgrade youngster Adem Ljajic.
The Red Devils originally had a combined deal for Ljajic and his Belgrade teammate Zoran Tosic, worth £17million, but after Tosic failed to make an impact at Old Trafford, Ferguson decided to end the deal.
Ljajic will now not come to Manchester whilst Tosic will leave next month and the funds Ferguson was set to use on the deal can now be invested in a striker, presumably Wolfsburg's Edin Dzeko who has attracted plenty of interest from the Red Devils boss.
