Manchester United have received encouragement in their pursuit of Bayern Munich midfielder Toni Kroos. United chief Ed Woodward was in Munich yesterday for talks with Kroos' representatives and Bayern about a summer deal.
The midfielder is expected to cost at least £20m, while the Red Devils are offering to more than double Kroos' current £60,000-a-week wages.
It's understood Kroos has already informed Bayern teammates he expects to sign for United in the summer.
