Manchester United are being linked with available Bayern Munich defender Jerome Boateng.
The Mirror says United will reportedly beat Real Madrid to the signing of Bayern Munich defender Boateng.
The Germany international could leave the Bundesliga champions this summer and has spoken of his admiration for the Premier League.
And according to reports in Spain, Jose Mourinho has the upper hand in transfer negotiations with the former Manchester City defender.
Boateng was part of the Germany side that was beaten 1-0 by Mexico at the World Cup on Sunday.
And he said earlier this year: “Foreign countries are always interesting. You do not have many chances. Everyone has to decide for himself whether he wants to gain experience again.
“I'm a different age now than I was at Manchester City and now at the point of thinking about it again."
