Manchester United are edging ahead of Real Madrid in the mega cash battle for Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba.
Gazzetta dello Sport says United are ready to match Real Madrid's €120m offer for Pogba.
United may now be in the driving seat to land Pogba, with the European champions understood to be unwilling to match the France international's €12m-a-season wage demands.
United, meanwhile, are believed to be happy to splash out that much in order to lure the player to Old Trafford next season.
Pogba, 23, is contracted to Juve until the summer of 2019.
