Man Utd eager to land Pedro before offloading Hernandez to West Ham

Manchester United are hurrying to complete a deal for Barcelona attacker Pedro as a replacement for Javier Hernandez.

The Mexican striker has been linked with a move away from Old Trafford all summer with West Ham United looking the most likely to acquire his services.

Hernandez has been an outcast at United since Louis van Gaal took over as manager and despite the Dutchman looking to offload the player, he is reluctant to do so without a replacement.

According to the Daily Mail, van Gaal sees Barcelona's Pedro as the perfect replacement and is keen to tie up a deal for the Spaniard as soon as possible in order to let Hernandez leave.

The deal for Pedro is set to be completed this week and it could mean good news for West Ham boss Slaven Bilic, who has been looking for a new striker all summer.
