Manchester United are exploring the prospect of bringing Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos to England. The Daily Star says United boss Louis van Gaal's top target is Spanish international Ramos, who is stalling on a fresh deal with the Champions League holders, and United chiefs will offer him £105,000-a-week after tax to secure his signature.
The Red Devils are likely to face competition from Premier League rivals Arsenal and Chelsea for his signature.
It emerged last week that Gunners boss Arsene Wenger has held talks with Ramos' agent.
AS journalist Manuel Esteban Manolete told radio show La Goleada: "Wenger has called Rene Ramos, the agent and brother of Sergio Ramos."
