Manchester United Double winner Paul Parker remains unconvinced by manager Jose Mourinho's style.
Despite United's improvement, Parker says Mourinho's tactics remain "defensive".
Parker, speaking exclusively to 888Sport, said: “He's still Mourinho and he doesn't change. The players might be more attacking but there is still his blueprint beneath meaning it's not exciting.
“With how he acts off the pitch and what is said Mourinho hasn't changed and that's not good. The sniping at Wenger and questioning everything and complaining about a fixture pile-up…you can't be a big side competing for everything and not have a fixture pile-up.
"That's impossible. People are sick of reading about that because we all know success comes from a problem. That's why when teams win doubles they are respected more because people know what they've had to go through to get it; how the squad has had to cope. There's no point moaning about it because you knew when you took the job on what was expected and there are a lot of games. If you've successful over the Christmas period and you're still in the FA Cup, League Cup and Europe there is going to be a pile-up. That's why you're allowed to go out and buy lots of players."
