Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has played down suggestions that the club is interested in Mexico international Hector Herrera.
The Pachuca ace is the subject of reported curiosity from United but Ferguson has poured cold water on a potential move for the 22-year old midfielder.
"I don't know where that came from," he said.
"Nothing's happening."
Pachuca sporting director Andres Fassi recently claimed that United and Liverpool were battling it out for Herrera but it is clear from Ferguson's comments that the player will not be heading to Old Trafford.
