Manchester United are desperate to secure the signing of Morgan Schneiderlin from Southampton.
According to the Daily Mail, Red Devils boss Louis van Gaal is keen to tie up a deal for the French midfielder before the squad jets out to the USA for their pre-season tour.
It is believed that United have made an offer of £20million for Schneiderlin, which was quickly turned down by the Saints, but reports suggest a new improved offer is set to be tabled.
Southampton want around £27m for the 25-year old France international who is seen as a long-term successor to current United central midfielder Michael Carrick.
