Manchester United have ordered newly hired French scout Romain Poirot to immediately get to work.

The Manchester Evening News says Poirot has a decade of experience in the field following spells at Udinese, Watford, Man City and others.

And he has already started looking for players with 'United DNA' following his appointment earlier this month.

Poirot previously referred to France as 'the new Brazil' because of the young talent coming through and United are keeping a close eye on the next generation following Les Bleus' World Cup win.

This season, Aliou Traore is flying the flag for Les Bleus at United's academy following his move from PSG.
