Manchester United defender Nemanja Vidic has escaped suspension after Saturday's win at Wigan Athletic.
The FA confirmed yesterday, after reviewing video evidence, that Vidic will not face a violent conduct charge for allegedly slapping Hugo Rodallega, the Wigan forward, during the game.
His is now free to face Arsenal at Old Trafford on Saturday - a boost since the injured Rio Ferdinand will miss the match and Jonny Evans is struggling with an ankle problem.
