Manchester United defender Chris Smalling says there are "no excuses" for their FA Cup defeat at Chelsea.
Smalling had no complaints about the loss, despite both sides having been forced to play two games in just 48 hours following Premier League matches on Saturday.
The defender said: "There are no excuses. There were a number of players who didn't play at the weekend, so I think both teams were fresh enough.
"It's not ideal - two games in two days - but there are no excuses from that side."
