Manchester United defender Chris Smalling admits his teammates have urged him to be more vocal.
Smalling says he's working on two pieces of advice he's received since his arrival.
He told manutd.com: "There are probably two things. The first is about communication on the pitch. I've always been quite quiet, but the likes of Rio and Vida have spoken to me about the importance of shouting up more.
"The other is about having the confidence to express yourself when you have the ball and to always look for that forward pass. Mick and Rene really emphasise that to us in training and it's something I'm getting better at. I want to improve every aspect of my game and there's no question I'm at the best place to do that."
