Manchester United defender Chris Smalling is out for a month with a hamstring injury.

The centre-half could be missing for three to four weeks just as David Moyes faces a crisis in his defence.

The giant defender damaged his hamstring in training before the Liverpool thrashing - and now he should be out for the next few games.
