Manchester United defender Chris Smalling has revealed former teammate Rio Ferdinand has told him to make the most of his World Cup.
It will be Smalling's first World Cup experience.
"I think obviously Rio has been there [at a World Cup] before and he was saying it is something you should always savour," explained the 24-year-old to ManUtd.com. "Really go in there and go full-on for it.
"Don't come back with any regrets as it's going to take another four years, if you're lucky, to be able to rectify that."
