Manchester United's Luke Shaw has praised Jose Mourinho for his attentiveness as he continues to recover from a foot injury.
Mourinho produced a scathing criticism of the 22-year old in April, bringing in to question how committed he was to the club.
"I cannot compare the way he trains and commits, the focus, the ambition. He is a long way behind," the Portuguese said.
But Shaw has insisted that Mourinho has been nothing but positive during United's pre-season tour of America.
When asked how often Mourinho talked to him, Shaw said: "Daily, when me and Ash tend to finish our sessions, we go over to see what the other players are doing and we see him.
"He asks how I am, how it is going and he keeps on top of how we are and to see how far along we are. He's been great."
