Sean McGinty is facing crunch talks with Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson after his loan with Tranmere Rovers was cut short early.
Rovers boss Ronnie Moore ended the loan over disciplinary reasons.
The Irish Independent says after recently handing the rookie a one-year contract extension, Ferguson had intended for the full-back to spend the rest of the season gaining experience at Prenton Park.
Yet that plan has been halted with him having played just three matches.
