Man Utd defender Lindelof sees Benfica and VSK settle compo sale row

Manchester United defender Victor Lindelof has seen a compensation dispute settled between former clubs Benfica and VSK.

VSK and Benfica had disagreed over a clause which declared the Swedes were due 20 per cent of any sell on fee.

VSK hired agent Stefan Pettersson to negotiate a settlement, which he was able to successfully navigate.

"I cannot comment on it at all, simply. It's not possible because there are agreements that underlie these things. I cannot say neither yes or no," said Pettersson.

"Yes ... What did I do? Quite a lot, I did."

It's claimed Pettersson was paid £270,000 for his services, which saw VSK secure £4.5m from Benfica.

"Yes absolutely," he told Fotbollskanalen when asked if he deserved the payout. "There were no strangers in this place. But to keep talking about it in the media feels a bit strange."
