Manchester United defender Phil Jones says Rio Ferdinand has helped his game.
The 24-year-old says he owes former United star Ferdinand some credit for laying the foundations for him to follow in his footsteps.
"I learned from Rio Ferdinand and saw what he was doing," he told The Times.
"I now do yoga and do the Reformer Pilates machine. Maybe I was doing stuff in the past that I thought worked but didn't."
United boss Jose Mourinho maintained faith in the central defender and Jones thanked Mourinho for believing in him.
"The first conversation I had with him, Mourinho said, “F***ing hell you're fit'; I then briefly did my knee after landing awkwardly.
"He (Mourinho) stuck by me, he's always giving me confidence."
