Man Utd defender Ferdinand: We can't compare current team with '99 Treble winners - yet

Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand is reluctant to talk up the quality of the current team.

Ferdinand says it is too early to judge the class of 2013, even though they are nine points clear of Manchester City in the title race and into the last 16 of both the Champions League and FA Cup.

"I don't think you can really judge a team until you've had a really good season at it," said the centre-half, who was part of United's 2008 Champions League and Premier League-winning side.

"At the end of this season, if we've won the league I'll sit down and evaluate where we are against the other teams I've been in.

"I've probably played in about three or four teams here that the manager has built during my time here.

"I wouldn't say it's far behind any of the others, but we have to see how we do silverware wise."
