Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand has revealed Twitter has brought him and Robbie Savage together!
Ferdinand has revealed how he and Robbie Savage have patched up their differences thanks to social networking site Twitter.
"I actually hated him. I hated him as a person, I didn't like him," he told Football Focus.
"I didn't know him. As a football thing. I got sent off in a game. I thought he was acting and he made more of it and I thought I didn't like him, he's not my type of guy...and then Twitter brought us together."
The pair have had heated exchanges in the past, with Savage admitting in his autobiography that he kicked Ferdinand during a half-time bust-up during Blackburn's Carling Cup semi-final at Old Trafford in 2006.
The Man United skipper was then sent off for his challenge on Savage in a Premier League encounter just three weeks later.
Now though the pair can regularly be found tweeting each, with the Derby County player today tweeting: "It's official ! Rio loves me ! I love you to rio xx."
