Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand has paid tribute to former teammate Michael Owen ahead of today's trip to Stoke City.
Owen is now preparing for a post-game career after confirming he will quit at the end of the season.
"When Michael was called upon, more often than not he produced," said Rio Ferdinand, a former team-mate for club and country.
"He scored for us in the League Cup final and he'll be remembered forever for his goal against City.
"If you had a chance and you had to put your house on it he'd be right up there with the players you'd want it to fall to."
