Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand says it would be unfair to compare David De Gea with past great goalkeepers.
His two wonder stops at Liverpool were important saves that his illustrious predecessor, Edwin van der Sar, would have been proud of.
"He had big shoes to fill,'' said Ferdinand, "and I wouldn't even begin to start speaking in terms of comparing him. He will tell you himself he has loads of things to learn and loads of things still to do in the game before we can start comparing him to anyone. But I am sure he is willing to learn. He is showing why the club spent so much on him and went out big to get him.''
