Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand has joined BT Sport's stable.

The Daily Mail says Ferdinand has signed a three-year deal with BT Sport to work as an interviewer, programme-maker and 'football expert'.

The 34-year-old will join BT sport from August 2013 and already has experience in conducting interviews with his #5 magazine.

He will also create 'lifestyle' programs for the broadcaster.
