Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand admits he doesn't know how he'd have handled Diego Maradona's amazing goal for Argentina in the 1986 World Cup.

Ferdinand was asked how he would have stopped Maradona's slalom run.

"I don’t know if I would have been able to stop him," Ferdinand told manutd.com.

"I think the only way you could have prevented that goal was if you took him out! But you’d have had to get close enough to him in the first place…"
