Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand has given his thumbs up to Darren Bent's move to Aston Villa.
The England striker left Sunderland last week for £24 million.
Ferdinand tweeted: "Morning. @DB11TT has gone to Villa for 24m. Big money but he scores goals consistently+has done for a few yrs. Good luck bro."
He added: "Only Rooney + Drogba have scored more goals than @DB11TT in the PL over the last few yrs....#fact.
"Over the last 5 yrs Bent is 3rd in the goal charts in PL. Drogba + Rooney are above him."
