Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand chose not to travel to London for the NFL tour game after yesterday's derby humiliation.
Ferdinand turned down the chance to appear at Wembley for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers clash with the Chicago Bears and take ceremonial coin toss after Manchester United's humiliation in the Manchester derby.
Ferdinand was due to fly down to Wembley with United's owners The Glazer family, who also own the Buccaneers, and act as they teams honorary captain.
But after the 6-1 defeat to bitter rivals Manchester City at Old Trafford Ferdinand opted to stay at home rather than travel to London.
