Manchester United defender Ezekiel Fryers is expected to start tonight at Carling Cup opponents Aldershot.

The homegrown defender, who made his debut at Leeds in the previous round, picked up a nasty-looking injury in the recent Manchester Senior Cup tie at Bolton but may be fit again in time.

"Zeki trained today and it's good to see him back so quickly again," Reserves boss Warren Joyce told manutd.com. "He was spitting a bit of blood up and it looked a really bad challenge and horrendous fall when I watched it again in slow-motion."
