Northern Ireland will be without Manchester United defender Jonny Evans for their Euro2012 qualifying double header against Estonia and Italy starting on Friday.
The centre-half has been ruled out because of an ankle injury which has forced him out of two of United's recent matches and will also miss the pair of international fixtures as confirmed by Northern Ireland boss Nigel Worthington.
"Jonny's not here and won't be here," said Worthington. "He's had this ongoing ankle problem and came off in the warm-up the other week.
"He did play at the weekend but the feeling at his club is he does need rest and recuperation.
"So we accept that and move on."
