Manchester United defender Jonny Evans knows he faces a battle to keep his first team place.
With Rio Ferdinand set to return to action after injury, it gives Sir Alex Ferguson a big selection dilemma ahead of crunch games at Old Trafford against Rangers in the Champions League and Liverpool in the Premier League.
Certainly, Evans has done little wrong this season so far, partnering Nemanja Vidic at the heart of the United defence.
Indeed, with every game Evans plays alongside the Serbian, he feels he is getting better and better.
He said: "Playing alongside a player like Nemanja Vidic is great for me.
"He has fantastic experience and ability, and you can't help but learn when you are beside him in defence.
"Just like Rio, Vidic is one of the best defenders in the world."
