Manchester United defender Daley Blind has told Dutch fans the players are also hurting missing this month's Euros.

Blind admits he'll face a "tough few weeks" with the Oranje not competing in France.

He told Voetbal International: "Often it seems as if people think that we do not feel that. But rather the players confront this every day, they feel even more disappointment.

"Only we can no longer remain silent, but there's still nothing we can change.

"As painful as it is, this must be processed and understood, because waiting right around the corner are key matches in September. Missing a final tournament must anyway be a one-off incident as in two years in Russia, we can not fail."
