Manchester United defender Daley Blind admits Holland's national team crisis has hit him hard.
Failure to qualify for the World Cup and the Euros are the lowest points of Blind's career, he says.
"When we finally did not qualify (for the World Cup), the disappointment was huge. I had a real bad time with that. If, as an international, you spend a bit longer at your club, you are less interested and you forget it," Blind told Metro.
"But now all those countries are starting to prepare for the World Cup. That just hurts.
"The failure of the European Championships in France and the World Championships in Russia are the heavy lows of my career."
