Manchester United are chasing Olympique Lyon goalkeeper Hugo Lloris.

The Daily Star Sunday says Lloris is Manchester United's new target to take over from Edwin van der Sar as No.1 at Old Trafford.

French sources claim high-level talks over Lloris were held in the last few days at United's Carrington training headquarters.

The keeper, 24 on Boxing Day, has a transfer valuation of £20million.

Lloris captained France when they defeated England at Wembley last month and has been regarded for some time as one of Europe's best young keepers.
